Our Team

Yamba and Maclean Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries is a privately owned physiotherapy practice servicing the Lower Clarence. With locations - Physio Yamba and Physio Maclean. Including a new studio  - The Exercise Joint in Coldstream Street Yamba.
We provide outcome based, quality physiotherapy to all our clients and endeavour to provide access to a comprehensive physiotherapy service with a high level of care and consideration. Our team aim to improve health outcomes through Treatment, Education and Prevention.

Andrea Miltiadou - Senior Physiotherapist. Andrea completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland with first class honours in 1995. Since then Andrea has worked on the Lower Clarence in both Maclean District Hospital and as an owner of Yamba Physiotherapy since May 2000. She has also completed 12 months post graduate Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Andrea is both the Principal and a Senior Physiotherapist at Yamba/Maclean Physiotherapy. Along with her acupuncture she is trained in Women’s Health/Pelvic floor assessment and treatment. As she has worked rurally for almost 20 years Andrea is experienced in treating most conditions and takes pilates classes as well. She has a keen interest in treating shoulders however keeping her patients on their feet with minimal pain is what makes her most happy.
Rowee Obst - Senior Physiotherapist. Rowee completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia in 2013. She is also an accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner, through Macquarie University, and works as both a senior Physiotherapist and member of the Austrilasian Lymphology Association. Rowee most enjoys enabling clients to control their own health journey and believes motion is lotion, however you apply it! Working with chronic conditions has led Rowee to further upskill in the area of Cancer Rehabilitation, working as a PINC therapist through the PINC and STEEL foundation, also taking NEXT STEPS classes to further assist with the prehab and recovery. As an APPI clinical pilates instructor Rowee enjoys running some of our Physio4Core classes, in conjunction with treating out of our Yamba and Maclean clinics. Along with netball on the weekends, Rowee enjoys the Yamba sunshine, (attempting) to surf when she can and is a keen member of the local Surf Lifesaving club.
Rebecca Cimenti - 
Senior Physiotherapist.
Rebecca Cimenti - Senior Physiotherapist. Bec has over thirteen years experience working as a clinical Physiotherapist. She has a keen interest in knee injuries coming from a long line of poorly designed knees herself. Bec also runs our Fit 4 Birth and Mums n Bubs programs and is passionate about helping women optimise their health and enjoyment during the pre and post natal period. What Bec enjoys the most about being a Physio though, is meeting people from all walks of life, and collaborating with them to help them achieve their health goals.
Claire Ward - Exercise Physiologist. Claire is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist completing her Bachelor of EXERCISE SCIENCE & NUTRITION in 2006 at Southern Cross University, Lismore. She is an Accredited Member of Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) Claire has 7 years experience as an Exercise Physiologist. Three of these years working within the Byron Bay area with the remaining four in the Clarence Valley. Claire has been building on her experience, working in the Fitness Industry as a Qualified group exercise instructor, Pilates and Yoga instructor for more than 10 years. Claire loves working with a varied age of people, helping them with Health & Physical activity, Education, Lifestyle modification, Behavioral change, Strength & conditioning, Aged Care focusing on preventing falls and Weight loss.
Phil Kelly - Exercise Physiologist.
Phil Kelly - Exercise Physiologist. Phil completed his Bachelor of HUMAN MOVEMENT in 2006 at Southern Cross University Lismore. He is an Accredited Member of Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) and also a Strength and Conditioning Mentor with ASCA. Phil has been working within the industry for the past 10 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team of Exercise Physiologists. Phil's areas of interests involve working with Professional and Semi Professional Athletes as well as local Sporting Groups, helping them to achieve current and long term performance goals.
Angus completed a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) at The University of Queensland. As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (ESSA), he is equipped with the knowledge and skills to design and deliver exercise interventions for people with acute or chronic medical conditions and disabilities. Angus places emphasis on implementing individualised lifestyle modification strategies that are both achievable and sustainable. He aims to empower individuals towards greater independence and self-management of their personal health and well-being. Angus is a keen surfer and enjoys spending time in the outdoor environment that the area has to offer.

Jayde Halvorson - Physiotherapist. Jayde grew up in Perth, Western Australia. She comes from a gymnastics and swimming background, which led her to study physiotherapy. In 2020 Jayde was awarded a bachelor degree of Physiotherapy from Notre Dame University in Fremantle. Since then she has gained some valuable experience as a physiotherapist, gravitating towards vestibular physiotherapy and utilising pilates as a rehabilitation approach. Jayde is passionate about leading an active lifestyle and assisting patients to do the same.

Dan Mandl - Physiotherapist. Daniel completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (honours) at the University of Newcastle. Additionally, he holds certifications in Paediatrics (Lvl1), Sports Physiotherapy (Lvl1), Pilates Reformer (Lvl1, 2, and 3), Therapeutic Yoga, Mental Health First Aider (MHFA), Hand-based Thermoplastic Splinting, Tendon Radial Shockwave Therapy, Mastering Lower Limb Tendinopathy and Functional Foot (Gait Happens). Daniel has a keen interest in working with patients to identify the underlying cause of pain and dysfunction, specifically with patients with acute and long standing pain. Daniel continually searches for ways to appropriately progress exercise prescriptions to restore function and reduce the risk of re-injury. Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Daniel spent 5 years coaching skiing/snowboarding in Australia and throughout Canada. The experience he gained through coaching and analysing movement, remains a key component to how he approaches injury and rehabilitation. Daniel is a long standing "Movember" advocate and is passionate about raising awareness and funds to help improve men’s health. He is a father, a yogi, a keen surfer and is devoted to leading an active healthy lifestyle and assisting his patients to do the same.
Perrine Widlak - Physiotherapist.
Perrine Widlak - Physiotherapist. Perrine grew up in a small town in Belgium called Messancy, in the province of Luxembourg. Perrine was competitive in gymnastics and also did a lot of swimming, which led her to study physiotherapy. In 2012 Perrine was awarded a Master of Physiotherapy Degree from the Haute Ecole Leonard De Vinci University in Brussels. She then went on to specialise in Orthopedic Manual Therapies at Universite Catholique de Louvain-La -Neuve, completing her studies at the end of 2014. Since then Perrine has gained some valuable years of experience as a physiotherapist and has travelled extensively. Gravitating towards Pilates as a movement based approach to rehabilitation and wellbeing has been a natural progression for Perrine. In 2017-18, she completed a certificate IV in mat Pilates and a Diploma of Clinical rehabilitation Pilates with Polestar Pilates in Brisbane.
Frances Aird - Physiotherapist.
Frances Aird - Physiotherapist. Frances grew up on the North West Coast of Tasmania before moving to Victoria to complete her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honors) at Monash University. After completing her degree in 2016 Frances spent a number of winters working in Falls Creek Victoria, developing her skills in acute management of sporting injuries, in particular knees, ankles and shoulders. Frances believes in the importance of living an active lifestyle and loves helping others achieve this. As a member of the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia Sports Medicine Network she travelled to Spain and Norway with the Australian Parasnowboarding team in 2020. Her interest in musculoskeletal and sporting injuries led her to start a Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy with Latrobe University in 2021. Outside the clinic Frances is a keen open water swimmer, bush walker and foodie.
Marcus Edwardes - Physiotherapist.
Marcus graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra in 2018. He was the lead physiotherapist to the Wheelchair Basketball men's (gold medal) and women's (silver medal) teams at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK. He has a keen interest in sports injuries (knee and shoulder), post surgical rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and musculoskeletal conditions. Marcus was a former competitive junior tennis player and previously worked in the public service in international aid and development. He is a committed yoga and Pilates instructor and loves the physical and mental health benefits from yoga, surfing, rock climbing, and movement culture.  Marcus has a caring and holistic approach to physiotherapy whilst aiming to maximise people’s health, fitness and mobility.
